Midland School District is accepting applications for an ASL Educational Interpreter to work with a lower elementary student for the current school year.

The following are essential duties for this position:

• Interpret oral communication into sign language and signed communication into spoken English in general education classes
• Facilitate communication among students, the classroom teacher and other personnel in the school district.
• Provide direct tutorial assistance in areas of academic support.
• Convey the content of the message clearly and accurately according to the receptive language level of the student.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information
• Previous educational interpretering preferred

Interested parties should have a Arkansas Interpreter License for the Deaf or be willing to obatin a license.
